Download print or HTML versions of the units of work
You can download print versions of the units of work as .pdf files, Word documents, or as HTML files in folders accessed by Index.html. Note that print downloads do not include updates applied online, including curriculum changes over time and should be used with caution. The resources are Creative Commons licensed, and the units of work have also been designed so that you can re-use the HTML files, editing downloaded units using software such as Adobe Dreamweaver to create your own resources (while taking note of those items used within resources that are not owned by World Vision and cannot be re-used; see Copyright and acknowledgments). You can also share your own user-generated units of work with English teaching colleagues via Global Words. Go to the Contributions page for more information.
If you download HTML units for local network use, please be aware that the content on this site from time to time is updated, and you will need to update your local copy. Note the date of the current version when you download units. Note, as above, that print downloads do not include updates applied online, including curriculum changes over time and should be used for reference only and with caution.

Engage with Asia through English and History Professional Learning Modules
Six modules in a free professional learning program. The first module, Equipping yourself to teach about Asia, introduces Asia literacy in terms of the cross-curriculum priority of Asia and Australia’s engagement with Asia and the general capability of Intercultural understanding in the Australian Curriculum. It shows how primary and secondary teachers can build their Asia literate capabilities through teaching about Asia in English and History learning areas.
The remaining five modules are focussed on different Asian themes related specifically to content descriptions in History and English from Years 5 to 10. The modules are discrete but can be used sequentially or at different entry points. Go the resources.
